Five people none with belts, injured in crash
— Five people were injured with
two men being airlifted after being ejected following
a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Slater
and Tower roads in Butler Township.
Roger Adams of Adams Excavating in Salem
was eastbound on Tower Road in a dump truck
when he was broadsided by Joseph Moore, 20, of
Winona, driving a 1995 Ford F-150 northbound
on Slater Road.
According to the highway patrol, Moore failed
to yield at a stop sign, striking the dump truck and
sending it into a sideways slide where it sheared off
a utility pole and rolled over down an embankment.
Adams was ejected and flown by STAT MedEvac
to St. Elizabeth’s in Youngstown.
Devon Dunn, 22, of Lisbon was riding in the
bed of Moore’s pickup and was also ejected. Dunn
was also airlifted to St. Elizabeth’s. Moore was
transported by EMT Ambulance to St. Elizabeth’s.
A passenger in the middle seat of the pickup, Ashton
McMaster, 19, of Lisbon, was transported by
EMT Ambulance to Salem RegionalMedical Center
and the passenger in the right seat, Chance Allison,
20, of Lisbon, was transported by KLG to
SRMC.
Trooper Megan Faith, who is investigating the
crash, said no one in either vehicle was belted. She
