Long day into night
Thirty-three-year-old Heather Sluss of East Palestine was not injured in this rollover crash on state Route 170 south
of the village Thursday night. Sluss was southbound in her 2014 Chevrolet Sonic on Route 170 when she went off
the right side of the road at the corner, striking the guardrail and rolling over. East Palestine firefighters and EMS
responded to the scene shortly after 7 p.m. and provided traffic control. Highway patrol trooper Steve Tucci is
investigating the crash. This was the fourth traffic accident the fire department had responded to since 3:30 p.m.
