Friends and loved ones from all over the county gathered for a candlelight vigil around the roadside memorial on Lisbon-Canfield Road to bid 17-year-old Brittany Gulu a final farewell. After reminiscing about their favorite times and some firsts they shared with Brittany, the group sang some of her favorite songs, including “I Hope You Dance.” As the group began to disperse the treasures and remembrances of Brittany encompassed the base of the utility pole that stands in front of the field where she perished in a car accident Sunday night. Trooper Joy Bolen of the State Highway Patrol and Sheriff's Department deputies stood by to assure the everyone was kept safe at the vigil. Morning Journal/Patti Schaeffer
