Paris Lotze, 26, of Leetonia was not injured after rolling her 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe on Teegarden Road just north of Vincent Lane in Salem Township just
after 9 p.m. Monday. Patrol trooper Dwayne Shepherd said Lotze went off the right side of the road on a curve and rolled her SUV when she overcorrected.

following a one-car crash on state Route 558 just east of Bunker Hill Road in Fairfield Township. According to state trooper
Mike Helmick, Green was eastbound on Route 558 in her 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier when she lost control coming out of
the S-curve and went off the right side of the road striking a utility pole. Leetonia, NewWaterford and Columbiana firefighters
and EMS personnel worked in sub-zero temperatures to extricate Green from her vehicle. The extrication took a

Time for a new wall
Gleb Raml, 33, of Palatine, Ill., was the latest truck driver to try and add his touch to the landscaping of the decorative traffic circle in Columbiana Thursday. Raml was driving a tractor trailer rig for Efros Transportation out of Chicago and cut the circle too tight, hanging his trailer up on the wall at 4:15 p.m. Columbiana patrolman Brandon Ericsson is investigating the crash. He was on top of it, but not injured except for a few cuts and bruises on his hands. The investigating

and fell asleep on his way home shortly after 3 a.m., ending up in the decorative traffic
circle. Organ was administered a field sobriety test and found not to be under the influence of any

Speece was extricated from his 1990 Chevrolet pickup by Columbiana firefighters after Kelsie Okon of Enon Valley, Pa. , eastbound on Heck Road in a GMC Sierra Denali pickup, failed to yield at the stop sign and struck Speece. Motorcycles collide
Josh Elerick, 21, was airlifted by STAT MedEvac to St. Elizabeth’s Health Center in Youngstown after colliding with Jose Ramos, 24, on state Route 344 about 7:20 p.m. Friday. Todd R. Lewis, 28, of East Liverpool was airlifted by STAT MedEvac to St. Elizabeth’s Health Center in Youngstown following a single-vehicle crash on U.S. Route 30 in West Point at about 4 p.m. Saturday. West Point firefighters and first responders were called to the rollover crash along with North Star Critical Care ambulance. According to Trooper Jared Paine of the Highway Patrol, Lewis was westbound and went off the ride side of the road twice, then crossed over the center line striking the guardrail and overturning. Salem man injured
Albert Bricker, 53, of Salem was airlifted from the accident scene by STAT MedEvac to St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Youngstown following a collision with his minivan and a semi tractor-trailer around 9 a.m. on state Route 9 at Mountz Road Friday. Bricker, driving a 2002 Dodge Caravan was traveling north on state Route 9 and crossed over the center line hitting Scott Drinnon, 46, of New Waterford who was southbound in a 2015 International truck and trailer from R & L Carriers of Columbiana. Drinnon was not hurt in the accident. Winona and Hanoverton Township Fire Departments responded to the crash and extricated Bricker. They also contained a diesel fuel leak and shut down a section of state Route 9 rerouting traffic down Mountz Road. ODOT also responded to the scene to sand the roadway to absorb the fluids. Citations are pending in the crash that is being investigated by Ohio patrol trooper Craig Monte, Sgt. Ron Cox and Sgt. Alan Ogden. Baker’s Towing and Geary’s Towing removed the vehicles. Route 344 crash sends seven to hospitals

Leetonia Fire/EMS responded to the crash just before 3:45 p.m. and found a 2012 silver Kia Sportage on its side with two adults and four children injured inside the vehicle and a 2011 black Chevrolet Traverse with the driver injured.

Tanya A. Barnhart, 30 of East Palestine was airlifted from Morris Airfield by STAT MedEvac to St. Elizabeth’s Health Center in Youngstown following a two-car crash at state Route 14 and Macklin Road. Three children riding in Barnhart’s 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix were also transported to Akron Children’s Hospital in Boardman. Barnhart’s daughter was transported by New Waterford EMS and Barnhart’s niece and nephew were transported in a private vehicle by their mother. Barnhart was southbound on state Route 14 when she was reportedly broadsided by Kaitlyn Dewell, 16, of New Waterford, who was driving a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup eastbound on Macklin Road. Jodi Snell, 36, of Leetonia was airlifted by STAT MedEvac to St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Youngstown with serious injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash on Leetonia Road at state Route 558 shortly before noon Wednesday. According to Sgt. Barry Thompson of the highway patrol, Snell was southbound on Leetonia Road and was struck by a 1972 International truck driven by John Grubbs, 64, of Leetonia. Grubbs was attempting to turn left onto state Route 558. Grubbs was cited for failure to yield when turning left. Leetonia firefighters were assisted by Columbiana firefighters in the extrication of Snell as medics from Leetonia and Columbiana EMS along with KLG ambulance and STAT MedEvac medical personnel stabilized Snell. Leetonia man injured
Matthew Kern, 33, of Leetonia was airlifted by STAT MedEvac to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown following a crash on state Route 344 around 1:30 a.m. Saturday. Leetonia Police, Fire and EMS found Kern ejected and laying to the west of his 1979 Chevrolet pickup. Trooper Steve Tucci is investigating the crash and was assisted at the scene by trooper Jodi Bolen and accident recreation specialist Todd Jester from the highway patrol. Preliminary reports indicate Kern was traveling east on state Route 344 at a high rate of speed, crossed over the center line and continued to exit off the left side of the roadway, sliding sideways across Zetts Road and into a field were he struck a red utility pipe. Driver Injured
April Johnson from Hanoverton was airlifted by STAT MedEvac to St.Elizabeth's Health Center in Youngstown Saturday following a rollover crash on state Route 644 just north of Summitville. Franklin Township Fire Department responded to the crash site and also set up a landing zone at Summitville Lake with the assistance of Salineville firefighters. EMT Ambulance transported the woman to the landing zone. Trooper Race Baker of the Highway patrol said preliminary reports indicate the woman was traveling south on state Route 644 in a 2004 Mitsubushi Endeavor SUV and traveled left of center, overcorrected and went off the right side of the road riding up an embankment and then flipping over onto its roof. PETERSBURG — Connie Borelli, 52, of East Palestine was not injured in a crash that shut down state Route 170 in Petersburg and left part of Springfield Township residents without power during the early evening hours.

Gavers Crash
The highway patrol is investigating a two-car crash that sent five people with non-life threatening injuries to area hospitals Wednesday night near Gavers. Jennifer Shields, 29, of Hanoverton and two children were transported by Tri-County Ambulance to Salem Regional Medical Center and Amanda Brandenburg, 29, of Salineville and her passenger, Jessica Harris, were transported by Tri-County to East Liverpool City Hospital. According to preliminary reports, trooper Kevin Thompson said, Shields was northbound on state Route 164 in a Saturn and turned left onto state Route 518, crossing into the path of Brandenburg who was traveling southbound on state Route 164 in a Kia Soul. A woman was transported by Leetonia Fire/EMS to St. Elizabeth’s Health Center in Youngstown following a single-vehicle accident on state Route 164 south of Beeson-Mill Road just before 8:30 a.m. Monday. According to patrol trooper Mike Smith, the woman was traveling south on state Route 164 in a 2001 Nissan Altima and drove off the right side of the road, striking a culvert. The woman had to be extricated by Leetonia firefighters. Steve’s Towing also assisted in pulling car to the road surface so she could be removed from the vehicle. Three-vehicle crash
Leetonia and Columbiana Fire Departments along with Leetonia Fire/EMS and KLG ambulances responded to a crash where three vehicles came to rest in a ditch off the west bound lane of state Route 558 between Fairfield School and Lower Elkton Roads shortly before 8:30 a.m. Monday. Preliminary investigations by the Sgt. Thompson of the Highway Patrol indicate that the dark blue Pontiac G6 slid off the road coming to a stop in the ditch. Deborah See, 58 of East Palestine driving the white Pontiac Vibe had slowed down for the G6 when she was struck from the back by Cory Wiley, 25, of New Middletown driving the Ford F-150 pick-up that ended up in ditch in front of See. A passenger in Wiley’s truck was transported with minor injuries to the hospital by KLG ambulance. According to Trooper Dylon King of the State Highway Patrol, Dianna Marquis, 25, Randel Road, Hanoverton, was traveling west on state Route 39 in Washington Township near state Route 164 around 4:17 p.m. Saturday and was coming around a curve when she lost control of her Chevrolet Cavalier, drove off the right side of the road, struck a tree and spun around. Highlandtown fire crews cut off the roof of her car to free her. She was taken by Lifeteam Ambulance to East Liverpool City Hospital. Her injuries were not life threatening. Charges are pending. Salineville fire and police also assisted at the scene.

A home on a bend at the intersection of U.S. Route 30 and Wayne Bridge Road near Lisbon was the scene of another accident Friday night. The driver of this pickup failed to negotiate the bend, crashed into another pickup, through a stone wall and onto the porch of the house.

No serious injuries were reported, but Crestview's freshman football team didn't make it to the game against Western Reserve following a crash on state Route 46 just south of state Route 11 Thursday afternoon. The bus carrying 21 players, two coaches and the driver, Timothy Van Horn of Lisbon, was traveling north on Route 46 and had slowed and come to a stop for traffic waiting for a car turning left into the Midway Mennonite Church. Daniel Tancer of North Jackson, who was driving a 1995 S-10 Chevrolet pickup, did not stop and rear-ended the bus. Beaver Township police and fire/EMS responded to the scene. None of the people involved were seriously hurt. Some of the football players complained of neck pain and all were interviewed and checked by fire/EMS personnel. Some of the players were taken by their parents to area hospitals for further treatment. Trooper Brian DePizzo of the Canfield post of the highway patrol is investigating the crash. Route 11 closed
State Route 11 was closed in both directions for a short time Saturday night as STAT MedEvac landed in the southbound lane to transport 27-year-old Gregory Burdelo of Wadsworth to St. Elizabeth Medical Center, following a one-vehicle accident. Trooper Neil Everett is investigating the crash that ended with Burdelo’s Ford Ranger coming to rest on the guardrail in the northbound lane. Sgt. Barry Thompson was assisting with the crash. Lisbon firefighters had to extricate Burdelo from the truck.

A man was transported by KLG Ambulance to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown and a woman was taken to Salem Regional Medical center following a three vehicle crash at McCracken's Corners around 8 p.m. Wednesday. Leetonia Fire/EMS responded to extricate the woman from her Chevrolet pickup truck. Preliminary reports indicated the woman who was westbound on Salem Grange Road yielded at the stop sign at state Route 45 and then proceeded to pull out into the path of a Buick Roadmaster heading north on state Route 45. The two vehicles collided and then slid into the path of a semi tractor trailer traveling south on state Route 45. The driver of the semi was not injured. From Three Vehicle Crash McCrackens Corners Leetonia Fire/EMS KLG OSP
Thirty-year-old Amanda Carrigan of Wheeling, W.Va. was cited for OVI and assured clear distance after driving her 2001 Honda Civic into the back of a semi tractor-trailer on state Route 11 Saturday afternoon. Justin Childs, 39, of Hackett, Ark. was driving his 2013 Freightliner northbound on state Route 11 when he was reportedly hit from behind and actually pushed forward by Carrigan’s car. Childs was not injured in the crash, and Carrigan, who was reportedly recovering from a medical procedure earlier in the week, refused transport to the hospital. Leetonia Fire/EMS responded to the crash. Leetonia medics bandaged Carrigan’s injuries at the scene and encouraged her to get further immediate medical attention. After refusing transport, Carrigan was given a field sobriety test, shown above, by troopers Jodi Bolen and Brian Kavanagh at the scene and taken into custody where she was transported to the Lisbon Post for a urine test. From State Route 11 Carrigan-Childs Crash Car v Semi Leetonia Fire OSP
Highway patrol trooper Eric Derringer is investigating a wrong way crash on state Route 11 just south of the state Route 154 exit near Lisbon Wednesday night.
The Lisbon post received a call at about 10:30 p.m. that someone was traveling the wrong direction in the southbound lane of state Route 11 and before trooper Derringer could intercept the car the call became an accident call.
According to Derringer, a 2001 Toyota Avalon driven by 26-year-old Ross Resneder of Norman, Okla., was traveling north in the southbound lane and struck a 2001 Kia driven by Kathleen Perry of McDonald.
Resneder claimed lack of sleep and recovering from being ill is caused him to enter the highway in the wrong direction at the West Point exit and then fall asleep while driving.
Both Perry and Resneder declined treatment. North Star Critical Care and KLG Ambulances responded to the crash.
Lisbon and West Point firefighters also responded to the crash to provide traffic control and wash down the highway along the crash route.
