Five people were transported by Leetonia Fire/EMS and KLG Ambulance to Salem Community Hospital with non-life threatening injuries following a three car crash on state Route 45 at Miller Road Thurdsay evening. According to investigating state Trooper Steven Tucci; Dustin Cutright, 19, of Lisbon and a passenger in his black Mercury Cougar were southbound on state Route 45 and were stopped waiting to turn left onto Miller Road. Also southbound on state Route 45 was Rodney Jackson, 49, of Lisbon driving a white Ford Focus who was unable to get stopped for Cutright. Jackson reportedly went left of center attempting to go around Cutright and then upon seeing the northbound dark gray Chevrolet Cruz driven by Karen Marquise, 49, of Salem, he attempted to swerve back into the southbound lane hitting Cutright in the back and was struck in the rear by Marquise spinning Jackson around and causing Marquise and her female passenger, continuing northbound, to go off the right side of the road striking a utility pole. Trooper Tucci sited Jackson for failure to control. Morning Journal/Patti Schaeffer
