A shower of science
Kids and their parents react to an explosion that caused it to rain ping-pong balls on the front lawn of the Lepper
Library. It was part of Dr. Dave'sWhiz Bang Science Show, part of the finale of the library's summer reading
program. Using liquid nitrogen Dr. Dave used pressure caused by molecules changing from a liquid to a gas to
explode a pop bottle that sent ping-pong balls flying into the air. The students learned throughout the day how
molecules behave when they are a solid, liquid and gas and how man uses these principles to fly and propel
planes and rockets through the air. Morning Journal/Patti SchaefferLisbonLepperLibraryDr.Dave'sWhizBangScienceShowReading
