LISBON — It was historic night for Bulldogs pitcher Karly Pence in East Palestine’s 9-0 win over Lisbon on Thursday.
After tossing 18 strikeouts against Lisbon, Pence now owns the school’s career strikeout record, formerly held by Chelsey Peterson. Pence has 543 strikeouts in her career. The victory was also Pence’s 49th of her career.
Pence provided production at the plate as well, collecting a pair of hits and three RBIs. Carlee Biegenwald added a pair of hits and RBIs, while Holly Siracuse had two hits and an RBI. Morning Journal/Patti Schaeffer
